PUMA x REDRAT MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME TERMS & CONDITIONS

RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME RULES

‘Campaign’ means the Recruitment Campaign Period set out in the Specific Rules;

‘Programme’ means the Mentorship Programme set out in the Specific Rules.

‘Red Rat’ is Red Rat Clothing Limited;

‘Recruiter’ is Puma and Red Rat jointly;

Judge’ refers to the three mentors, Red Rat Clothing and Puma. The final decision to be made by Rat Clothing and Puma.

Disqualified Participants’ are:

  • all people under the age of 18 years where the Mentorship
    Programme incorporates air travel or any other element which would be illegal to supply to a person under the age of 18 years.
ENTRY

1. These Recruitment Campaign or Mentorship Programme Rules (‘the Rules’) apply to this campaign conducted by means of any medium – online, radio, print, or a connected device. The Rules may change from time to time.

2. If a particular Recruitment Campaign hasspecificrulesorterms(‘the ‘Specific Rules’) those Specific Ruleswill apply if there is any inconsistency with the Rules.

3. Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Rules registration, applications or entries are limited to one per person. Where multiple registrations, applications or entries are acceptable, each must be made separately.

4. Entry into the Recruitment Campaign is deemed to be acceptance of the Rules and the Specific Rules.

5. The Recruitment Campaign is open to New Zealand Residents only. Disqualified Participants may not enter the Recruitment Campaign.

6. The Recruiter reserves the right to exclude any person from participating in the Recruitment Campaign on reasonable grounds.

7. The Recruiter reserves the right to refuse the Mentorship Programme to an entrant who the Recruiter decides (in its sole discretion) has violated the Rules (including the Specific Rules), gained unfair advantage in participating in the Recruitment Campaign or been selected for the Mentorship Programme using fraudulent means.

8. By participating, entrants grant the Recruiter exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, videos, voices and likeness in connection with the Recruitment Campaign and Mentorship Programme and for future Campaign and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.

9. All entrants’ personal details must be valid and up to date and will be held by the Recruiter and may be used for the purpose of the Recruitment Campaign and Mentorship Programme and for future campaign and marketing purposes by Red Rat, in accordance with their respective Privacy Policies (seehttps://www.redrat.co.nz/privacy-policy) unless otherwise directed by entrants at the time of entry.

10. Personal information provided at the time of entry is presumed to be true and, in the case of text or email notification – active, through to and beyond the date of the Recruitment Campaign and Mentorship Programme’s completion.

SELECTION OF MENTEES

11. Only the person who originally entered the Recruitment Campaign can be chosen for the Mentorship Programme.

12. The Mentee will be determined in the manner set out in the Rules or the Specific Rules – if not specified then as determined by the Recruiter who shall for this purpose be deemed the judge (the ‘Judge’).

13. The Judge’s determination of the Mentee will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. The Mentee will be notified by Instagram direct message, Instagram comments, Facebook direct message, Facebook comments, email or phone (voice or text) and must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by the Recruiter. Where attempts to contact the Mentee fail (e.g. when the Mentee cannot be contacted by phone after three attempts) the Recruiter will select another mentee. (Note: three attempts to contact the Mentee will include tagged Instagram comments, Instagram direct messaging, Facebook direct messaging, Facebook comments, individual calls, emails, or texts to any numbers provided at the time of entry.)

15. The Mentorship Programme is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No other family members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to participate on the Mentee’s behalf. In the event that the Mentorship Programme specified in the Recruitment Campaign becomes unavailable for any reason, the Recruiter is not responsible for substituting a Mentorship Programme of like or equal value.

16. Where the Mentee is required to attend the Mentorship Programme in person, they must provide proper identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, birth certificate).

17. The Mentee accepts the Mentorship Programme entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies the Recruiter in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Mentorship Programme. The Mentee is responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the Mentorship Programme. Where the Mentorship Programme has associated terms and conditions the Mentee accepts the Mentorship Programme subject to those terms and conditions and restrictions.

18. The Mentorship Programme does not include any travel and/or accommodation, either international or domestic:

(1) Any costs, payments, or fees incurred while travelling to the Mentorship Programme are the responsibility of the Mentee. These costs will not be reimbursed by Puma or Red Rat Clothing. If the Mentee is not able to meet these travel requirements, the Mentee must forfeit.

(2) The Mentee is responsible for transport from their residence to their mentor’s location and from their mentor’s location to their residence.

(3) Any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation during the Mentorship Programme period specified in the Mentorship Programme details, made by the Mentee, which incur additional costs, are to be paid by the Mentee.

(4) Unless explicitly stated in the Specific Rules, the Mentee will be responsible for expenses including, but not limited to, spending money, meals, drinks, all transportation, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, gratuities, service charges and all other ancillary costs associated with participating in the Mentorship
Programme.

(5) The Mentorship Programme is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Mentorship Programme must be taken as stated in the Specific Rules and no compensation will be payable if the Mentee is unable to participate in the Mentorship Programme as stated. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Mentee is, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date during this Mentorship Programme, whether the failure was due to reasons beyond the Mentee's control or otherwise, then the Mentee will forfeit the Mentorship Programme.

19.

(1) The Mentee is to share one Instagram post and one Instagram story including the hashtag #PUMAxREDRATand tag @REDRATCLOTHING to announce their acceptance into the Mentorship Programme.

(2)The Mentee is to post ad-hoc social media posts with their Mentor during the Mentorship Programme period including the hashtag #PUMAxREDRAT and tagging @REDRATCLOTHING (exact number of posts to be agreed).

(3) Presence at closing event in February 2020 (event to be confirmed).



THE RECRUITER’S RESPONSIBILITY

20. The Recruiter reserves the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue a Recruitment Campaign or Mentorship Programme at any stage, for any reason.

21. The Recruiter takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Recruitment Campaign or Mentorship Programme due to equipment or technical malfunction or Force Majeure (including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes) or otherwise.

22. To the fullest extent permitted by law the Recruiter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of the Recruitment Campaign entry or the Mentorship Programme.

23. Where the Mentorship Programme is to be supplied by an entity outside the Recruiter’s control and that entity fails, for whatever reason, to supply the Mentorship Programme, the Recruiter has no responsibility for the provision of the Mentorship Programme and is not obliged to provide an alternative Mentorship Programme or to take legal action to require the Mentorship Programme supplier to provide the Mentorship Programme.

ACCEPTANCE

24. Participation in the Recruitment Campaign or Mentorship Programme is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

25. If the Mentee does not accept these Terms and Conditions the Mentorship Programme will be forfeited.




THE ‘SPECIFIC RULES’

THE RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN

The Recruiters are together offering entrants into the Recruitment Campaign the chance to be selected for one of three mentorships with the mentors chosen by the Recruiter. This Mentorship Programme will be carried out over the course of 6-7 months and will include one of the following (according to their assigned mentor):

  • Guidance in creating a bespoke track over the 3 month period and performance at the closing event
OR

  • Co-create and choreograph a dance to perform at the closing event
OR

  • Co-create a graffiti mural
HOW TO ENTER

The Recruitment Campaign period begins on September 1, 2019 and ends September 30, 2019.

To enter the Recruitment Campaign, entrants are to post on Instagram or Facebook (including tagging @REDRATCLOTHING and hashtag #PUMAxREDRAT) and demonstrate or explain why they would be the most suitable mentee to work with their specified mentor of choice in the Mentorship Programme

You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for the Mentorship Programme.

You must be available to participate between the dates of October 2019 and February 2020 to be eligible for the Mentorship Programme.

No responsibility will be taken for any entries lost, delayed, or otherwise not received, or where the entry is not completed fully, correctly or in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

All entries become the property of the Recruiter. Eligible entrants consent to the use and disclosure of their information for the purposes of this Recruitment Campaign by Puma, Red Rat and any agents associated with this Recruitment Campaign. Eligible entrants agree that by submitting an entry they consent to the Recruiters using their Instagram account, Facebook account, email addresses and phone numbers to send information to them regarding Red Rat.

HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS

The Recruiter will compile all entries received online at the end of the Recruitment Campaign period and select three (3) Mentees by October 18, 2019. The Mentee will then be contacted in accordance with the above Recruitment Campaign and Mentorship Programme Rules.

THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

The Puma and Red Rat Mentorship Programme (“the Mentorship Programme”) is one of the following (according to the assigned mentor):

  • Guidance in creating a bespoke track over the 3 month period and performance at the closing event
OR

  • Co-create and choreograph a dance to perform at the closing event
OR

  • Co-create a graffiti mural
